Renaissance Learn to Skate program will be at the Campus Martius Ice Rink in Detroit, MI. The program will include a Fall Skating Session, Winter skating sessions and Spring skating session. Experienced Skating Staff will assist you with everything you need to explore the basics , benefits and joys of skating.

Something happens the moment your kid’s skates touch the ice. It's surreal. Empowering. It’s the experience where kids learn much about skating, and themselves.

Your child learns glides, swizzles, edges and crossovers. Your child learns positivity, confidence and personal strength.

About the Director

Karissa Williams is the director of the Renaissance Learn to Skate program. She has 20 years of coaching experience across 5 different states. She is a Senior Rated and Ranked Figure Skating Coach endorsed by the Professional Skaters Association (PSA) and US Figure Skating.

Karissa has a gold medal in Moves in the Field, a Bronze Medal in Freestyle, and International Adult Skating Medalist and has achieved her 1st Figures Test. She is a 2018 Adult National Skating Champion.

She is very passionate about the growth and development of skating with the Detroit Community for all ages.
